Definition of Mydriatic:

(Gr. enlarged pupil) These dilate the pupil; some act locally, others systemically, causing paralysis of the ciliary muscle: atropine, homatropine, hyoscyamine, daturine, duboisine, cocain [Culbreth1927, pg 41].
